Cortez Family Farm
The Cortez Family Farm, situated in the fields outside Santa Maria, embodies three generations of farming tradition in the Central California region. Led by Mayra and José Reyes, the farm cultivates a diverse range of vegetables including celery, broccoli, Brussel sprouts, spinach, beets, and onions, along with an assortment of berries, notably strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, and blueberries. Established in 1990 by Mayra's father, the farm was passed down to Mayra when he retired in 2017. Choosing to honor her family's legacy, Mayra continues to steward the land under the Cortez name, preserving the heritage of agricultural excellence for future generations.
We are a small-scale farm that takes pride in our commitment to sustainable practices. Through our rotational farming techniques, we effectively manage pest infestations without relying on pesticides. Although we are not a certified organic farm—primarily due to the challenges of leasing rather than owning our land and the associated... More

Evergreen Soups
I have always loved the theme farm to table, using local organic ingredients and making soup for people who are too busy to cook for themselves or just want to enjoy someone else soup. My inspiration came from going to the farmers market and not seeing enough vegan/gluten free/Kosher food products, in hopes of having people enjoy my soup as much as I do.
My products DO NOT contain natural flavors, citric acid, alcohol, yeast or MSG.

Gigi's Jams and Jellys
Hi everyone, My name is Jennifer and I am a local homebased jam and jelly maker. I started making jam and jelly with my grandma Doggie when I was a kid. I started baking and canning with my granddaughters and great granddaughters which is so much fun, spending time with them and laughing the whole time. I decided to start canning jam for family and friends to bring back the memories of when I was young with my garndmother. They enjoyed them so much and encouraged me to start making them for sale. I hope to bring you and your family the same joy that I feel while making the jam. With your purchase you will not only get the great jam but hopefully you will feel the love and joy that I put into each and every jar of Gigi's Jams .

Hijas De La Fresa
Miriam and Donna Olivera, the owners of Hijas de la Fresa (Daughters of the Strawberry), embody a profound connection to their family's agricultural legacy. For them, the name reflects their upbringing deeply rooted in the strawberry business, where their parents invested years of dedication. They have grown many varieties of produce, but have decided to specialize in strawberries.
They're conventional, sustainable, we use integrative pest management: choose varieties that are disease resistant, use compost, have done cover crop when time allows. We use cultural practices reduce dust and minimizing pests that harbor, use bug vacuums. We use pollinator plantings, plant pest deterrents. We extend our season with cutbacks whenever possible, it reduces resource use. We use beneficial plants and insects as our first line of defense.
